How do I install a Performance Percussion app, and why doesn't my update seem to show up?

Performance Percussion apps (Rundown, Backline, ARCHITECT, Pathfinder, smaRTPath, and Midiable) are installed and updated through the Mac App Store (or the App Store on iPad/iPhone for apps that support it). If an update doesn't seem to have taken effect, this is almost always why.

1. Install and update apps only through the Mac App Store / App Store — that's the single supported path for these apps.
2. Check the Mac App Store's Updates section (or App Store on iPad/iPhone) to confirm you're on the latest version; if an update is available, install it from there.
3. After updating, quit and reopen the app so it picks up the new version.
4. If a feature still seems missing or out of date after updating, confirm the App Store shows the app as up to date, then contact support if it still doesn't match what you expect.
