BreakbeatIn Beta
The best samples. The easiest way to play them.
The flagship drum sampler. Turns MIDI drum controllers into an instrument: scan libraries, build kits, map controllers, arrange multi-controller stage plots — then perform, with a Raspberry Pi stage player for laptop-free gigs.

What it does
- Pure-C audio engine: zero dependencies, 128 voices, lock-free queues.
- Three modes: Simple (a 5-step wizard), Studio, and Stage.
- Kits are .bkbt files — a zip with a manifest and the samples. Portable, inspectable.
- Rigs map any controller; stage plots arrange multiple controllers into one performance.
- Raspberry Pi stage player: leave the laptop home, bring the Pi.
- Canonical articulation vocabulary (kick, snare, hh_closed…) shared across the whole suite.
- Recall kits by Program Change, CC, or OSC — your setlist can drive it.

Plays well with
Standalone first: Breakbeat never needs another app installed. When siblings are present, they find each other on your LAN and follow the same show.
